The beginners program is geared towards total beginners who want to run but lack the confidence or motivation to go it alone. Learning to run in a group situation makes it a lot easier than going solo. The course starts with a combination of running and walking and gradually builds up to 5k continuous running over 8 weeks, twice a week. The biggest mistake people make is trying to do too much too soon and their bodies rebel. The key to successful and enjoyable running is to start slow and build it up gradually. At this stage you’re not out to set records!
